When preparing food in your kitchen, it's important that you have the right knife for the right job. In this post, we go over the knives that are most appropriate for each occasion they may be need for.
The most essential knife for a kitchen is the chef's knife (aka cook's knife). It is thin with a hefty blade to chop and dice veggies and fruits quickly. It can also perform other tasks adequately well, being thin, sharp, and large.
Other knives you should consider stocking include the santoku knife for slicing and dicing, the serrated knife for cutting bread, and carving knives and forks for hams and roasts.
