If you have a few damaged floorboards in your hardwood flooring, you may not have to replace the flooring in order to repair the damage. There is in fact a way to replace just those boards that are damaged, which may be an acceptable solution if there really aren't many boards that need to be replaced. You can learn about this simple process from an article posted on thisoldhouse.com called "How to Patch Strip Flooring".
If you click the link and watch the featured video, you can watch every step of the process, and see how it's done and what tools are required. You may need to rent or buy a couple of tools, but by far the process will be much cheaper than replacing the whole floor!
