How to Garden in the Snow
Winter's coming! Game of Thrones may have put the fear of the cold season in us, but don't take it to heart when it comes to gardening. Even when the snow cover the ground, there's plenty you can still do to prepare for the spring. Not only that, but you can even grow some vegetables! Some of the best tips include covering up your plants to protect them from next season. If soil is left uncovered, it can lose its nutrients, robbing your garden of them come springtime. If you don't want to cover all of your garden, use some of that space by growing some veggies! Asparagus, spinach, peas, onions, and garlic all thrive in the winter. Some flowers also do well, including pansies, polyanthus, tulips, and daffodils.
Don't let your garden sit barren just because there's snow out - do something with it! There are plenty of good ideas to keep you active and not cooped up all winter.
