Do have something that needs stucco applied to it? This post, we cover the process for doing just that. Applying stucco is the same process once the base is prepped, so here is our general guide to doing so.
- Apply your bonding agent with a paintbrush to ensure that the stucco adheres to the base.
- Pick out a good stucco. We recommend using the premixed stucco, which will come at the right consistency and can come premixed with colors. You have three choices of stucco: fine sand, medium sand, or coarse sand. Choose whichever one you want for your desired look.
- Apply the stucco with a hawk, or flat piece of wood on which you'll slap on stucco, and a trowel.
- *Bonus* - Apply a second layer of stucco for a consistent look that will last longer.
