Toilets are easily overlooked appliances in bathroom remodeling projects, for understandable reasons. However, this post we want to encourage you to think outside the box on how your toilet could influence your design by covering some unique designs that opt for different approaches to the toilet. Sleek Contemporary "Public" Restroom

Obviously, this design would only work for a household with men, but this owner found inspiration in the men's public restroom. Though that is not usually a place to be exemplified, in this case, the use of urinals provides a unique look to this restroom. In addition, the owner can conserve water by using less for flushing. Seeing as the toilet is a major source of water usage, this can save on your bills as well as spice up your bathroom decor.

Minimalist

The toilet tank has long been a clunky feature to the toilet, but until recently it wasn't possible to due without it. Now, however, you have the choice of opting for a more integrated toilet design. This is innovative for the toilet by allowing you to hide it more than was possible before and thus reduce any negative effect you feel it may have.

Toilet Paper Privacy Screen

Another way to deal with the toilet is to segment it off in the bathroom. This is not a new idea, but the above photo portrays a unique way of going about it. Not only is this an interesting design choice, but it solves the fundamental problem of being without toilet paper while on the pot as well!

Finally, this gem of a bathroom design brings a whole new meaning to "public" restroom by evoking the feeling of being on a subway platform. This one-of-a-kind design transports whoever steps into the bathroom and totally changes the viewer's perception of the toilet itself.
