If you've got a defunct plug, don't sweat it - we've got the info you need to get it fixed up.
Before you get started, you'll need just a few materials: screwdrivers, the new plug, and multi-purpose wire strippers/pliers.
Once you have those things gathered, take these steps:
- Turn off the power for that area of the house.
- Unscrew the old plug, making sure that none of the pins or the fuse fall out.
- Prepare the wires, including how long they need to be to reach the terminals.
- Cut the wires and strip the end of them at least 1/2 an inch.
- Twist the end of the wires to connect the terminal and new plug.
- Secure each using a small screwdriver.
- Screw the plug casing back on.
