- Check hoses and appliances on a regular basis.
- Repair leaks as soon as they occur.
- Maintain fixtures and drains.
- Utilize preventative maintenance products.
Don't:
- Throw away unflushable items.
- Neglect maintenance on your water heater.
- Forget to clean gutter and plumbing vents.
- Miss seasonal cues for checking on plumbing.
- Try to do everything yourself - if you don't know how to do something, call a plumber.
